Carri
Founder & Owner
I have more than 25 years of experience in medical billing. I began in my husband’s podiatry office, where I eventually managed the office and handled the entire billing process. That experience gave me a firsthand understanding of what it takes to run a medical practice and how much reliable billing matters.
I founded Vital Profits to give podiatrists personal attention and revenue cycle management tailored to their practice. My team and I take the time to get to know each provider and their staff, understand how their office works and build a working relationship that fits their needs. We want to feel like a natural extension of their team, with people they know and can count on.
A big part of my role is working with our team, sharing my experience and helping work through challenging billing situations. Having managed a practice myself, I understand how valuable it is to have someone you can reach, ask questions and trust to follow through. I want our providers to know the people handling their accounts and feel comfortable coming to us with questions or concerns.
I take pride in submitting clean, accurate claims and love seeing them processed without denials or rejections. Watching that work turn into revenue for our providers is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Originally from Queens, New York, I now live in the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York. In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy staying active. We ski, bicycle, swim, kayak, play volleyball, hike and go to the gym. We enjoy just about anything that gets us outdoors! Spending time with family is also one of my favorite things in the world to do, especially gatherings with our whole family!
Mary
Billing Team Lead
I’ve worked in the medical field since 1995, starting with payment posting before moving into emergency department billing and insurance follow up. I later managed and handled billing for a family practice. In 2003, I began working in podiatry, where I spent more than 20 years gaining experience in billing and office management. I joined Vital Profits full time in 2024.
My strongest areas include payment posting, denials, appeals and insurance follow up. Having worked on both the billing and office management sides, I understand the daily demands of a medical practice and bring that perspective to the providers I support.
Originally born and raised on Long Island, New York, I moved to Florida in 1991. My husband and I recently settled in North Florida, where deer are regular visitors to our property! Spending time with my family, especially my granddaughter, Sage, is one of my greatest joys. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the area with my husband, finding antique stores, visiting local springs and gardening.

Joan
Podiatric Billing Specialist
I have worked in podiatry since 1986, and in 1995 I became a full‑time podiatric biller and billing manager for a large Midwest podiatry group. After relocating from Minnesota to Colorado in 2013, I transitioned into independent podiatric billing and have continued providing specialized billing support to podiatry practices. I am a life member of the ASPMA and previously served as Executive Secretary for the Minnesota Podiatry Medical Association.
My years in podiatry have given me an understanding of both billing and the daily demands of a busy practice. I enjoy researching billing issues, following up on outstanding claims and helping providers understand where their accounts stand. I value attention to detail, persistence and clear communication.
I have two sons and three granddaughters. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, hiking, and taking walks with our Bernese Mountain Dog and my husband.
Angela
Podiatric Billing Specialist
I have more than 23 years of experience in healthcare, beginning in a primary care office in 2003. In 2005, I moved into podiatry, where I spent 15 years as a Practice and Billing Manager. During that time, I helped grow a two-office, one-physician practice into a five-office, four-physician practice across multiple states.
My background includes medical billing, provider credentialing, insurance contracts, fee schedules and daily office operations. Having worked inside a provider’s office, I understand how the clinical and business sides of a practice affect billing and reimbursement. I joined Vital Profits in 2024 and enjoy using that experience to help our providers and their teams succeed.
I’m a proud St. Louis girl, mom of two, dog mom to Daisy Mae and Nana to my granddaughter, Sophie. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, camping, float trips, cookouts and cheering on my favorite teams. Go Cardinals!

Amanda
Podiatric Billing Specialist
I have more than 10 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management. I began in medical records before taking on billing responsibilities in a physician’s office, where I discovered a career I’ve continued to grow in ever since.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience billing for podiatry, family practice, pain management, cardiology, mental health, physical therapy, and anesthesia. My strongest areas include insurance follow up, denial management, appeals, accounts receivable, and provider credentialing. I enjoy investigating difficult claims, finding solutions, and helping providers receive the reimbursement they deserve. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping team members grow. I believe in working hard, being a team player, and finding satisfaction in helping providers navigate the challenges of medical billing.
I live in Salisbury, North Carolina. Outside of work, I enjoy bowling and sometimes just relaxing at home and watching a little TV!
Denise
Podiatric Billing Specialist
I have over 24 years of experience in medical billing, including nearly 8 years specializing in podiatry. Throughout my career, I have worked in all areas of the revenue cycle, from charge entry and claim submission to payment posting and accounts receivable management.
My favorite part of billing is working AR, researching outstanding claims, resolving issues, and following up with insurance companies to get claims paid. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out why a claim was denied or unpaid and finding the best way to resolve it, whether that means correcting a claim, contacting the insurance company, or submitting an appeal. I take pride in being persistent, detail-oriented, and seeing claims through to resolution.
I live in Illinois with my husband and stepson. Outside of work, I enjoy bowling on a league, gardening, and working on puzzles. I appreciate having hobbies that allow me to relax, have fun, and keep my mind active.

Phyllis

I have more than 15 years of experience in healthcare management, medical billing and revenue cycle management. I’ve worked with podiatry, dermatology, orthopedics and family practices, supporting independent offices and leading larger teams. My background includes accounts receivable, complex denials and provider credentialing.
I’ve also consulted with practices to improve workflows and trained staff to use their practice management and billing systems more effectively. I enjoy helping teams improve cash flow, reduce repetitive tasks and make better use of their time. Researching challenging reimbursement issues, sharing my knowledge and finding practical solutions for providers and their teams are some of the most rewarding parts of my work.
Originally from the Northeast, I now call Central Florida home. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, cruising and making the most of life in the Sunshine State!
